About the Pomfret Proprietors Association

Ad by Global Publishing Design

We are a volunteer organization of owners and managers of businesses located in the town of Pomfret. All businesses are welcome, including merchants, restaurants, services and industry.

Pomfret’s boarding schools and town library are also members. Qualification for participation is simply enthusiasm and a desire to share our beautiful town with others by promoting the excitement and fun of local businesses.

An annual event created in 2006 by the Pomfret Proprietors has gained attention in the public eye and continues to grow in success: the Town Wide Tag Sale, held the first Saturday in May.

The PPA always welcomes new members. There are no membership fees or commitment and it’s a great way to network with your neighbors. Everyone in town benefits from the publicity that Town Wide Tag sale has garnered in local

and regional media. And every year we donate all Tag Sale profits to local beneficiaries and organizations. We meet monthly from March through November at the Vanilla Bean Cafe.

Contact us if you would like to join us or want more information.
